At their most recent meeting, Botetourt Kiwanis Club members heard a report from the leaders of the James River Key Club on the club’s recent activities. The young people told the Kiwanians about their recent charitable activities and efforts at club building, both of which are made more difficult under the restrictions imposed over the past year.
The Kiwanis Club continues to recognized local enterprises, with Top Dawg Pub as Restaurant of the Week and Troutville Grocery as Business of the Week.
The club has had to postpone its annual golf tournament to the fall, but will proceed with its spring recycling event, scheduled for May 22.
The club will hold a breakfast meeting this Friday at the One Love Coffee Shop, starting at 7:30 a.m. The meeting will also be on Zoom. To be added to the Zoom call, contact Club President Dr. Ed Lynch at elynch@hollins.edu.
