[SUBMITTED PHOTO]The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Department work release inmates joined in to pick up roadside trash on Saturday’s Clean Valley Day. Deputy Mason said that since March, participants in the program have cleaned almost 30 miles of roadway and collected close to 8,000 pounds of trash.
