The Botetourt Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Federation (NWTF) is holding its annual fundraising banquet Thursday, Aug. 19 at The Barn at Back Creek Farm in Buchanan.
The banquet has been modified from past years and will primarily consist of a Gun Bash with a number of firearms and other items available as part of the fundraiser. Proceeds from the banquet support the Longbeards’ JAKES youth events, Women in the Outdoor events, Wheelin’ Sportsmen events, scholarships for local high school students, habitat projects such as the one on Short Hill Wildlife Management Area, and the Turkey Hunters Care Program that provides several thousand dollars in frozen turkeys to the Botetourt area food pantries each Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Banquet tickets are:
- $40 for an individual (includes one door prize ticket and one NWTF membership)
- $75 for a couple (includes two door prize tickets and two NWTF memberships)
- $265 for a sponsor (includes two door prize tickets and one NWTF Sponsor membership).
