Robert L. Frantz, 94, of Harrisburg, Pa., died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by loving family.
Bob was born in Fincastle, and was the son of the late Louis and Ella Frantz. He was retired from Penn State University, where he was an Associate Dean in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. He was a long-term member of the Christian Missionary Alliance and enthusiastically involved in their Sunday School, VBS, and choir ministry. Bob was a veteran of WW II, serving with the US Navy.
Bob was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ellen Boyd.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Nancy Frantz; his daughters, Byran Frantz Greene, Peggy Frantz, Kathryn Frantz, and Susan Frantz Elder; five grandchildren; and his brother, Richard Frantz.
Funeral services were held on Saturday September 11, at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Evangelical Free Church, 3640 Ash Street, Harrisburg. Visitation was held on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.
