The Democratic Committee of Botetourt County will host its annual “Red, White and Blue Jeans” fundraiser at Virginia Mountain Vineyards on Sunday, Oct. 3 from to 3 to 6 p.m., rain or shine.

Scheduled speakers are Sen. John Edwards; Wendy Rowden, candidate for the House of Delegates from District 19; and Meredith Dean, founder of Appalachian Women of Action.

Tickets include an individual box of hors d’oeurves created by Irene Karageorge Catering. Wine, sodas and water will be sold, as well. Thornfield Farms will provide table arrangements through the support of one of the committee members.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each for a chance to win a wood carving by Jake Cress of Fincastle. Cress is well known for his fine works, some of which are housed in the Smithsonian.

The cost of attendance, which goes to support the committee, is $25 per person. Donations are $50 for Friend Level, $100 for Supporter Level, $200 for Sponsor Level and $500 for Angel Level.

To RSVP by September 26, email Lynne Bolton at lbolton5115@gmail.com or send a check to Botetourt County Democrats, P.O. Box 712, Fincastle, 24090.
