Rosalie Green Cahoon, 89, of Fincastle, passed away September 26, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Cline Cahoon; parents, Ballard and Ruby Painter Green; brothers, Marion and Barney Green; sister, Darlene Green Fleshman; brothers-in-law, George, Carl, and Frank Cahoon, and sisters-in-law, Ruth Edgecombe, Francis Green, and Lorene Lucas.
She retired from the Botetourt County School System after a long career in many positions.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Cahoon; Steven and Charlotte Cahoon; granddaughters, Allyson Cahoon and fiancé, David Evans, and Samantha Cahoon; siblings and spouses, Mildred Drawbond, Madison Green, Ted and Candy Green, Donald and Annie Green, Willie and Norma Jean Green, Florence Bowyer and friend, Sam; sisters-in-law, Darys, Jenny, and Judy Cahoon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 1, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Lee McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 30, at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
