Attic Productions will present one-acts plays this week on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2 at 2:30 p.m. This will be a general admission event, with all tickets $10, available one hour before each performance, no reservations required.
Attic’s Covid policy requires masks for any unvaccinated patrons, and strongly encourages masks for all others. Observe distancing and respect other patrons and cast by not attending if you have any symptoms.
“Postcards,” by James Prideaux is directed by Wyatt Ewell. In this classic drama, Margaret and Leonardo, played by Kathy and David Boyer, have sat each day at adjoining desks, writing postcards to famous people without ever getting any answers. Having run out of live personages to address, they decide to send their cards to the famous dead. When a reply shockingly arrives, the effect is life changing.
“The Case of the Crushed Petunias,” by Tennessee Williams, is directed by Katerina Yancey is a delightful humorous comedy-fantasy about Miss Dorothy Simple, proprietor of the Simple Notions Shop in Primanproper, Mass. She has barricaded her house and heart behind a double row of petunias, but wakes up one day to find they have been crushed. The only clue is size 11 footprints, but the perpetrator arrives to confess his crime, on a mission to change Miss Dorothy’s outlook on life. Melanie Cordova, Gene Marrano, Wanda and Steve Shackelford will bring this story to life.
