Realizing the fruition of nearly five years of planning, prayer and perseverance, the faith family at Our Savior Lutheran Church looks forward to a groundbreaking celebration and devotion as the members start building a new home facility at the corner of Autumnwood Lane and Cloverdale Road (Alt. 220, near I-81) in Troutville on Friday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. Construction is expected to be complete in April 2022.
Faith family, church elders, architects and builders will be on-site to mark the beginning of construction on a project that brings a new worship space and community and education anchor point to Troutville and Botetourt County. The 6,600-square-foot facility will be filled with natural light under a clearstory tower and a glass wall separating the nave from the fellowship hall.
Designed by Hughes Associates Architects & Engineers and being built by R.L. Price Construction, the building “will look great in our community and have space to gather for people and groups in our neighborhood where we hope to make a real difference,” said Dwight Luedtke, congregation president. “We thank our Lord for the many blessings He has provided to make this project possible. We pray that this facility will help us better serve the spiritual and fellowship needs of our neighbors in Botetourt and Roanoke County. We are so excited to have a new home where we can welcome others, get to know them and become friends while sharing the love of Jesus. Please come and join us for this event to mark a milestone for Our Savior in the community,” Luedtke said.
