William “Bill” Milton Turner, 85, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021.
He was born in Virginia on June 24, 1936, to the late William and Myrtle V. Turner. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Betty Henegar Turner; his sisters, Eleanor Turner, Elizabeth “Betty” Turner, and Sonja Turner; and his brother, William Lee Turner Jr.
He was the president of Cash Building Supply Company and Red Ball Lumber Company for 40 years.
Bill is survived by his children, Mike Scott (Trish), John Scott (Sharon), Vicki Goff (Winston), Karen Spickard (Sonny) and Missy Lyle; grandchildren, Andrea Caldwell, Jessica Yates, Stephanie Mattox, Amber Scott, Wesley Scott, Jonathan Wolf, and Kim Bond; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Yates, Hayes Mattox, Jacob Mattox, Derek Bond, Drew Bond, Asher Scott, McKenna Scott, and Gage Scott.
The family received friends on Thursday, October 21, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Oakey’s North Chapel where a funeral service was held at 12 noon with Pastor Kevin Cummings officiating. Burial followed the service at Sherwood Memorial Park.
