Principal Wyatt Turner joins in as fifth graders Levi Peck and Caroline Rushing lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Breckinridge Elementary celebrated Veterans Day last week with an assembly to honor all veterans with family members at the school. This included a variety of parents, grandparents, and extended family members from every branch of the military.

Veterans and their families were invited to attend an assembly, where second and third grade students sang a variety of patriotic songs and recognized the veterans in attendance. Attendees also heard from Breckinridge Principal Wyatt Turner, and were given cards made by students across all grade levels. The remaining cards were delivered to veterans at the VA Medical Center in Salem. Participants concluded the event with a reception.

The Breckinridge second and third grades presented a musical program for the veterans who attended the Veterans Day Program.
Logan and Carly McVey were happy to be joined by their parents, Chris and Leslie McVey, for the program.
Billy and Bonnie Simmons enjoy the reception with their grandchildren, Ellison, Aida, and Jacob Simmons.
