Buchanan Community Christmas Market
Explore more than 20 vendor spaces set up along Buchanan’s downtown Main Street sidewalks as part of Buchanan’s first Community Christmas Market. Buchanan makes it easier to shop small and shop local with crafters offering a mix of handmade good including wreaths, jewelry, Christmas décor, antiques and more this Saturday, Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Buchanan Tree Lighting
Make memories with your family during Buchanan’s annual Tree Lighting this Saturday, Nov. 27, beginning at 7 pm. Gather with family and friends to sing familiar carols, then join in the countdown to light the Buchanan Christmas Tree. This year’s tree is a 20-foot-tall Norway spruce donated by the Tommy Moore family and is decorated with dozens of brightly colored balls and more than 3,000 tiny lights. Following the Tree Lighting, families are invited to take selfies with Santa in the Buchanan Town Hall.
Carriage Rides
Step back in time to enjoy an old-fashioned carriage ride this Saturday in downtown Buchanan. Carriage rides will be offered from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. and are $2 for each adult, and $1 for each child.
Buchanan Christmas Parade
Save the date of Saturday, Dec. 11 for Buchanan’s annual Christmas Parade. Line up for the parade begins at 3 p.m. with the parade beginning at 4 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “For the Kids.”
