Both the Lord Botetourt and James River wrestling teams will be competing in tournaments to open the season this weekend. Both swim teams also open and the indoor track season will take the gun next week.
LB’s wrestling team will be competing in the Wilson Memorial Round Robin at Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville Saturday. James River will take the mats in a tournament at Parry McCluer that opens on Friday night.
Both the LB and River swim teams will be in the pool this weekend for the season opening Christiansburg Invitational. That will be held at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
The first indoor track meet will actually be outside, as the Lord Botetourt team competes in an outdoor “Polar Bear Meet” next Wednesday at William Byrd High School. The James River indoor team isn’t scheduled to open until the first week of January.
