Charley Price Holley, 65, of Daleville, passed away suddenly Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Charley was born October 19, 1956 in Roanoke and lived in the Botetourt and Cloverdale area all of his life. He was the son of the late Fred Hampton, Sr. and Betty Mary Murray Holley.
Charley was a heavy truck parts salesman for 25-30 years and most recently for Highway Motors. He liked fast cars and classic rock. Charley had his own Internet radio station: Foxy’s Radio 24.7.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Helen Holley and Jerry Tickle; brother, Fred Hampton Holley, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Glenna Hall Holley.
Charley is survived by his life partner of 46 years, Alice Muncey Roberts; stepson, Donald Ray Roberts, Jr. of Daleville; brother, James A. Holley of Moneta; sister-in-law, Doretha Hatcher Holley of Cloverdale; three nephews and two nieces.
A celebration of Charley’s life was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21 at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. December 20.
