Greenfield Elementary is lucky to have a wonderful group of student leaders in fourth and fifth grades, according to Danielle Tolley, a teacher at the school. The student leaders have lots of jobs – helping out with breakfast, raising the flags, morning announcements, greeters and door holders, library helpers, and guidance helpers who have a breakfast bunch with younger students. Several leaders even set up and decorated the school’s Christmas tree this year. They helped with Red Ribbon Week, and Greenfield won the RAYSAC award, “Shedding the Light,” for spreading the best drug free message. The student leaders also sponsored a food drive in November, and were able to donate hundreds of items to the Ronald McDonald House and Rescue Mission. The students leaders include Nikayla Reedy (kneeling) and (back, from left) Kendall Childs, Callie Dozier, Trevor Gilmore, and Scarlett Morales-Tomas.
