Gary Lee Alldredge, 57, of Troutville, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 following a brief illness.
Gary was born November 5, 1964 and lived in the area all of his life. He was the son of the late Urick S. Alldredge and Judy Garland Alldredge of Elliston, who survives.
Gary was a retired screen printer for Mojo Sportswear, but first and foremost, he was a musician. Music was his passion. Gary played guitar with Dog Days South, Brother Travis Band, Last Stand Band, and Soul Shine Blues Band. He traveled with and was a guitar tech for his cousin, Hughie Thomason of The Outlaws.
In addition to his father, Gary was preceded in death by his cousin, Hughie Thomason of The Outlaws. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 12 years, Debbie Ann; daughter, Alexandria Alldredge of Vinton; grandson, Nash; goddaughter, April (Randy) Robbins of Salem; his mother, Judy Garland Anderson of Elliston; his brothers: Urick (Kathy) Alldredge Jr. of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Daniel (Angela) Alldredge of Roanoke; fur-daughter, Mia; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and that winter was not Gary’s favorite time of year, a celebration of his life will be held a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, Va. 22116-7023 or to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10016.
