Earcel Lee Duke Wright, 77, of Eagle Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Pauline Duke; brothers, Dewey and Tommy Duke; sisters, Geneva Duke and Viola Morris; sister-in-law, Sally Duke; and brother-in-law, Jackie Markham.
Earcel loved all things sports, especially her beloved New York Yankees. She enjoyed traveling and went many places with Amy and DJ the past several years.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Wright and DJ; sister, Madeline “Bugs” Markham; brothers and sister-in-law, Will and Ann Duke, JB Wright; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and caretakers, Becky Switzer, DJ Roberts, JoAnn Shook, and Joey Shook.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 24, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment was in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfuneralhome.com or 540-254-3000.
