A Mississippi man has been charged in a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 8.

A Chevrolet passenger car was traveling south on Interstate 81, when the vehicle came through a Botetourt County sheriff deputy’s radar at 99 mph. The Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office is handling the criminal investigation and the Virginia State Police was requested to perform the crash investigation.
