Justin Hill scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick as James River opened the soccer season with a win Monday. The Knights took a 1-0 win over Rockbridge in Springwood.
“We played well for our season opener,” said coach Jared Whiting. “The guys adjusted well and played a good physical game. The game also showed us some things we need to work on, but overall was very pleased with our play. A great team effort.”
The Knights are back in action next Monday, March 28, when they host Craig County.
