Jean Abbott Saville, 87, of Troutville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2022.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy L. Saville; her parents, Elzie A. and Lillie Wiley Abbott; two brothers, Wiley R. Abbott and Jerry B. Abbott; and one sister, Ella Mae Abbott Duczak.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda S. (Gary) Roberts, Sherry S. (Gary) Graham, and Brenda D. (Jeff) Roop; six grandchildren, Heath, Brian, Amber, Kristin, Tyler, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Pasleigh, Miya, Jase, Harper, and Graham; one sister-in-law, Nell Abbott; and several nephews and friends.
Jean was a long-time member of Troutville Baptist Church and worked for many years in retail where she also modeled. She loved going on trips, watching old westerns, loved butterflies, shopping, going out to eat, and most all, she loved her family.
Jean’s family wishes to extend a special thanks to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Home Instead caregivers and staff, and Dr. Katherine Harris for the wonderful care, compassion, and support that was shown and given to her.
A celebration of Jean’s life was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville with the Rev. Carol Johnston, the Rev. Reggie Warren, and Dr. Jeff Ritchey officiating. Burial was in Fair View Cemetery in Roanoke. The family received friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Friday.
