James “Jamie” Crowder, 50, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.
Jamie was born in Roanoke on October 26, 1971 and lived in the Roanoke area all of his life. He was the son of Clyde E. and Lottie Bowles Crowder. Jamie grew up in a family of motorcycling enthusiasts, riding around the country on his Kawasaki Ninja along with his parents and brother, Ricky Crowder. He was a truck driver and drove for Preston Trucking and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #171.
Jamie was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Crowder, in 2012. Along with his parents, he is survived by his son, Shane Padgett of Roanoke; his niece, Rebecca Patterson of Collinsville; and great-nieces and great-nephew, Myka Patterson, Bryson Patterson, and Cyera Patterson.
A graveside service honoring his life and memory was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12 at Daleville Cemetery with Pastors Mike Childers and John Graybill officiating.
