Finley graduates from Army Drill Instructor Academy

Heather Finley, daughter of Scot and Kathy Finley of Blue Ridge, graduated from the U.S. Army’s Drill Instructor Academy at Fort Jackson, S.C. on Wednesday, August 17.  Sgt. Finley is a 2018 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and a 2022 graduate of Florida State University. Sgt. Finley is the youngest drill sergeant graduate in her class by two years. She is a part of the 317 Cadet Summer Training Unit (104^th Training Division) in Salem. She lives in Nashville, Tenn., where she is in management training with Drury Hotels.
