As we get into cooler months, learn how to keep yourself safe and healthy. Topics include fall prevention, signs of hypothermia, how to avoid a heart attack in the snow, and combatting isolation and loneliness. Get a free diabetes risk assessment, blood pressure screening, fitness assessment, hearing test, or yoga session. Learn about free or low-cost local services available to you to keep healthy, protect your home from cold, fire or other risks, and ways to protect yourself from common scams during winter months. You might even win a giveaway for a space heater, gas detector, heating pad, goody basket or other freebies! With over 20 community organizations and businesses expected at the event, you won’t want to miss it.

Norvel Lee Memorial Highway Dedication & Reception

Celebrate the placement of a historical marker site off Route 220 in honor of Eagle Rock native and Olympic gold winner Norvel Lee. Enjoy light refreshments, meet Lee’s family, chat with Lee’s biographer Ken Conklin, and check out memorabilia in a special reception following the marker dedication.
