This beautifully woven rag rug was made in Botetourt by Emma Elizabeth Rhodes Womack in about 1850. Mrs. G.J. Hopkins donated it to the Botetourt History Museum and it is displayed downstairs. Rag rugs are still made and sold today by crafters.
