Looking back on my 24 years at Bank of Fincastle
About a month ago, I decided to take all of my Bank of Fincastle race shirts and make a quilt. I contracted seamstress Anna Elizabeth Adams to tackle this project with me. We met at the Buchanan Library where we laid out the designs, cut, and stitched 24 shirts together. We then took a trip to JoAnn Fabrics. With the assistance of employees Dave and Carolyn, we were able to pick out the backing for the quilt. We spent close to 30 hours on the quilt. It brought back a lot of fond memories when I was an employee of The Bank of Fincastle, under the management of John Kilby.
Included in this letter is a picture of the finished quilt. I wanted to share this with the people of Botetourt County who remember The Bank of Fincastle.
