In coordination with Red Ribbon Week, Colonial Elementary School held a “Family Fun Fest” last Thursday night. Families lined their decorated cars down the parking lot for a “Trunk or Treat” where students (and parents) clad in Halloween garb visited their neighboring vehicles collecting candy and memories with their fellow friends and classmates.

Members of Botetourt’s Emergency Services workers, Sheriff’s Office staff, and drug enforcement officers engaged with the community raising awareness about the dangers of and health risks associated with substance abuse.
