James Cabble “JC” Williams, 79, of Blue Ridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
JC enjoyed farming, was an avid tractor enthusiast, and was a NASCAR fan for many years. Most of all, he enjoyed sharing stories and laughing with family and friends.
He was born on February 23, 1943, in Callaway, Va. to the late Eleanor Martin and Cabble Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Williams, and his sister, Jean Williams Cox.
Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Loretta Boone Williams; daughters, Angela Miller (Alex) and Susan Campbell (David); grandchildren, Martin Henderlite and fiancée, Taylor Riggsbee, Morganne Vandeveer (Graydon), Matthew Henderlite, William Campbell and fiancée, Bailey Lose; his nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Oakey’s North Chapel, 6732 Peters Creek Road, NW, Roanoke. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family received visitors from 3 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, at the funeral home.
