The Lord Botetourt swimmers will celebrate “Senior Night” on Thursday when they host a meet at the Botetourt YMCA. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm.
Last week the Cavaliers hosted William Byrd, Franklin County and Christiansburg in a quad-meet at the Y and the Botetourt girls swept all three. LB beat Byrd, 102-57, Franklin County, 107-43, and Christiansburg, 89-69.
“What an amazing meet,” said LB coach Ashley Safrit. “We had so many time drops it was incredible to watch. In addition, our girls’ team won overall against all three teams.”
First places for the Cavaliers included Layne Jones in the 500 Freestyle and 100 Back and Hannah Mizuba in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly. In the relay events the team of Jones, Mizuba, Sarah Fredrickson and Olivia Nicely won the 200 Medley and the 200 Free Relay. Botetourt had 18 individual personal records for the night.
