VFW Post 1841 of Daleville Commander Jerry Jacobsen (left) presents Martin Leamy, president of the Honor Flight of Southwest Virginia, a check for $500. The Honor Flight program escorts older veterans from the Bedford D-Day Memorial on a two-day tour of Washington, D.C. to see the veterans monuments and other sights. There is no cost to the veterans as all expenses are paid for them.
