In support of the workforce of tomorrow, the Botetourt Chamber of Commerce will award four $1,000 scholarships to Botetourt County graduating seniors. The four scholarships will be awarded to one senior from James River High School, Lord Botetourt High School, Botetourt Technical Education Center, and one homeschool student residing in Botetourt County.

To be considered, the applicant must be graduating in the spring of 2023, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5, participated in school and community activities, possess two letters of recommendation and plan on attending an accredited institution.

The scholarship application can be found on both the Lord Botetourt and James River guidance websites and the Chamber website. All applications must be submitted electronically at the Botetourt Chamber website (https://botetourtchamber.com/annual-scholarship) with all supplemental information by April 14. No applications will be accepted by mail.

The Chamber supports the educational development of the county’s workforce involving businesses at all levels of education. Building the talent supply pipeline by working with public schools K-12, local colleges, and institutions of higher education ensures that students can graduate with the skills that employers are looking for in the next generation of new hires.
