The Virginia Western Community College Educational Foundation has awarded $207,406 in general scholarships to 133 students attending the spring 2023 semester at Virginia Western Community College (VWCC). Out of those students, 10 Botetourt County students received scholarships. Fall 2022 and spring 2023 scholarship recipients were honored April 27 at the Annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony in Whitman Theater.

Jalielle Curtis – Martha and William Adams Trust Scholarship
Jared Foutz – Fred Whitaker Company Annual Scholarship & Educational Foundation Textbook Scholarship
Lauren Gentry – Shentel Foundation Annual Scholarship
Sydney Harris – Donald Willson Memorial Scholarship & Kiwanis Club of Botetourt County Endowed Scholarship
Logan Patterson – Beverly Day Williamson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship & Hal & Lorraine Jones Memorial Annual Scholarship
Rebecca Perkins – Fralin Futures STEM-H Scholarship
Gabrielle Pickle – Katherine Futrell Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Brianna Pigeon – David L. Nickerson Honorary Endowed Scholarship
