Buchanan Food Pantry open this Saturday
The Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry will be open on Saturday, May 27 from 9-11 a.m. The church is located at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan. Volunteers from St. Mark’s United Methodist Church will be distributing food curbside to those in need in Botetourt County.
Pleasant Hill VBS, Remembrance Service
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 4-7, 6-8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Stellar – Shine Jesus’ Light!” with four nights of fun, games, crafts, and interactive Bible lessons. VBS is open to children ages preschool through sixth grade. Parents are welcome to attend with their child or drop them off and pick up. Snacks and refreshments will be provided each night. Wednesday, June 7 will be Water Night and kids will be asked to provide their own towels. Register prior to the event or the day of the event. Pleasant Hill will also be hosting a Remembrance Service Sunday, June 11 at 11 a.m. for those members who have lost loved ones since June 2022 to honor their memory.
Revival services at Trouville Church of the Brethren
Everyone is invited to Troutville Church of the Brethren on June 11 at 11 a.m. and June 12 -14 at 7 p.m. for revival services. The speaker will be Greg Fleshman from the Mount Union Church of the Brthren. There will be special music at each service. The church is located at 5133 Lee Highway in Troutville.
Galatia church picnic June 11
Galatia EPC will have its church picnic on June 11 at the pavilion (across the road from the church). Services will start at 10:30 a.m. with lunch following. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share and enjoy the fellowship at Galatia EPC,78 Gala Loop Road, Eagle Rock.
Children’s Game Day in Troutville Park
Troutville Baptist Church will sponsor Children’s Game Day in Troutville Park on Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include games, prizes and a free hot dog lunch. All area children are invited to participate.
They also are invited to Vacation Bible School June 19-23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
