The Town of Fincastle recently hired new Town Clerk Morgan Keith. She fills the position previously held by Joan Boothe, who retired in May after approximately 20 years of service.
Keith is a native of Eagle Rock and a graduate of Alleghany High School. She recently graduated from Liberty University with a degree in accounting. After growing up in the north side of the county and currently living in Glen Wilton, Keith recently spoke about working on the “south side” of Botetourt in a recent interview.
“I like meeting the townspeople,” Keith explained. “It’s nice to see what’s in Fincastle. There’s some stuff that I didn’t know was here. I live closer to toward the Alleghany line, so most of the time when I’m going somewhere, I head toward Covington.”
Keith is excited about meeting the local residents. She formerly worked in the service industry and explained her enjoyment when meeting new people and learning about where they come from. She feels similarly in her early interactions with the folks in Fincastle.
Her first day as Fincastle Town Clerk was July 13.
