Margaret H. Fluke (1918-2022) donated this walnut desk to the Botetourt History Museum in 2022. The raised top over the two drawers is unique and the woodwork is beautiful. Margaret was a philanthropist who gave many historical artifacts to BCHS. She was a 1937 graduate of the National Business College and worked for Jefferson Standard Life and then Shenandoah Life. She was a life-long member of Glade Creek Lutheran Church and is buried in the cemetery there. The Vinton History Museum donated two models of her church to the Botetourt History Museum. The log cabin Margaret attended was kept, but the large model was donated to Glade Creek Lutheran Church in Blue Ridge.
