Gavin Price of Buchanan recently donated 2,178 jars of peanut butter for local schools’ Backpack Buddies Program to feed children in need. The peanut butter came community members and individuals as far as Maine, Texas, and Utah.
Price has donated over 10,000 jars of peanut butter to the cause over the last couple of years. Backpack Buddies has donated more than 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to Virginia students (preK-12th grade) in need in the last 10 years.
