Greenfield Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 23-27. Interactive demonstrations were led by law enforcement officers from the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Department, the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Conservation Police. In accordance with the Red Ribbon Week theme, “Be Kind to Your Mind Through Service,” the St. Francis Service Dogs organization sent a dog and handler to demonstrate how their professionally trained service dogs help children and adults with disabilities become more independent and self-sufficient.
