Maag Gala, Inc. in Eagle Rock and the Dover Foundation pledged their support for the expansion of the Botetourt Technical Education Center (BTEC) by contributing funds towards the construction of 10 new welding booths last Thursday in Fincastle. This multi-year agreement, totaling $30,000, celebrates a shared vision of creating educational opportunities that benefit the students and the surrounding region.

“We see this collaboration as a win-win-win situation,” stated Bob Patterson, president of the Botetourt Education Foundation. “This partnership not only emphasizes the generous support of local industry, but also underscores the importance of workforce development training offered by BTEC, benefiting Botetourt County students and the surrounding community.”

To celebrate this contribution and the opportunities it presents, Maag Gala, Inc., the Dover Foundation, and the Botetourt Education Foundation held a check presentation ceremony at BTEC on Thursday, November 16.

The significance of this collaboration extends beyond a financial contribution. It highlights the commitment of Maag Gala, Inc., the Dover Foundation, the Botetourt County Economic Development Authority, and the Botetourt Education Foundation to supporting educational and workforce development programs in Botetourt County Public Schools and the surrounding region, Patterson said.
