Attic Productions has announced its holiday production, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story, “A Christmas Carol” by Doris Baizley. This show will be presented at Attic’s D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center, 7490 Roanoke Road, Fincastle, December 7-10 and 14-17. Thursday and Friday shows begin at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2:30
Join this talented group of actors as they present this inventive adaptation of the classic Dickens story. As a company of traveling actors, they must improvise with limited supplies and props as a magical world of make-believe unfolds. The troupe discovers that the actors playing Tiny Tim and Scrooge have abandoned the tour, but the show must go on. The prop boy eagerly volunteers to take on the role of Tiny Tim, and the grumpy stage manager is forced into taking the lead role as the audience is pulled into the life of Ebenezer Scrooge. All of the classic elements of the story are included, as the Christmas spirits work to warm the heart of Scrooge, as well as that of the stage manager.
Adult tickets are $15, students and groups of 10 or more are $12 when paid in cash or by check at the box office. A $2 convenience fee per ticket will be added if paying with a card.
