Dennis Marley Norton, 73, of Troutville, passed away at home on Monday, May 6, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on July 5, 1950, in Newport News, and was predeceased by his parents, Harry T. and Euna Norton.
Dennis is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 52 years, Robbie “Bob”; his beloved son, Michael Dennis Norton and wife, Tracy “Baby Girl”; brother-in-law, Marty Hensley and wife Sonya; sister-in-law, Donna Hurd and husband Mike; and nephew, Brad Hensley.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dennis became a licensed electrician and retired from State Electric Supply. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell – true or not. We know that when he entered the gates of Heaven, everyone was greeted by “Hey, Ol’ Buddy.”
A visitation with family and friends was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. at Oakey’s North Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
