Clifford Charles Crain III – “Chip,” – 61, of Fincastle, lost his life in a vehicle accident on May 15, 2024.
He was the loving father of two daughters, Sarah and Anna Crain, and will be deeply missed. “Chip” was an avid musician, a lover of nostalgia, old cars and motorcycles, and a generous “Old Soul” at heart.
Surviving are his daughters, Sarah and Anna; his father, Clifford Charles Crain Jr. (Christine); his mother, Shirley Chappelle; brothers, Joseph, Christopher (Anne), Avery (Harley), Billy Cockrell (Amy), Jacques Chappelle (Tracy); and sister, Ashley Marshall (Rob).
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fincastle Fire Department Event Room (upper level) on June 9, 2024. Visitation with the family will be held from 2 until 3 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Warren King officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions for his daughters’ education fund which can be made at the memorial service.
