Botetourt County high school seniors from Lord Botetourt and James River graduated last week. Lord Botetourt held its graduation ceremony last Monday night at the Salem Civic Center. James River’s took place last Tuesday night on the football field in Springwood.

Botetourt County Public Schools applauded the county’s 2024 graduating class, sharing in a recent social media post, “Congratulations to the LBHS and JRHS Classes of 2024, and also to the family, friends, mentors, and educators who were there with you through the journey.”

Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Russ added, “Congratulations on another successful school year. It never ceases to amaze me how fast time seems to fly. I hope each of you have scheduled special time as individuals and families to make lasting memories this summer. Find time to rest, relax, and read as you enjoy a well-deserved summer vacation.

“The start of a new school year will be here before we know it. Thank you to our parents, families, staff, and community that support Botetourt County students as we work together to prepare them for a bright future!”
