Daniel Potter Ray Deel, 75, formerly of Botetourt County, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Beulah Ray Deel; infant siblings, Barbara Catherine, Thomas Everette, and Wallace McDonald Deel; sisters, Phyllis Deel and Imo Ann Moseley; and brothers, Luther and Calvin Deel.
He is survived by his daughter, Charity “Angie” Malone and husband, Timothy; son, Jeffrey Deel; wife, Sally Deel; grandchildren, Nicolas Reed, Timothy Reed, Christopher Reed, Samantha Malone, Jackson Malone, and Logen Malone; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Otto Van Reed; sister, Helen Hodges, step-grandchildren, Sydney, Kaley, and Avery Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2024 Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Danny Quirin officiating. Interment was in Mill Creek Cemetery.
