Botetourt County Historical Society, Inc. (BCHS) will host “History After Dark” beginning at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, July 25. The organization will welcome Dr. Whitney Leeson from Roanoke College who will be discussing “Child Witches in Reformation Germany” at The Rooftop at 1772.
While many associate the term “witch” with adult women, Dr. Leeson is going to look at Hans Gackstatt, a boy from from Rothenburg, Germany, in 1587 and a group of child witches.
The bar stools and sofa on the roof are first-come, first-served, but if you would like a table, call 1772 to make a reservation as space is not guaranteed otherwise.
BCHS expresses that it can’t wait to hear about 16th century child witches and hope to see many there.
