Homecoming Sunday at PleasantDale

PleasantDale Church of the Brethren will have Homecoming on Sunday, September 15. All are welcome to help celebrate the church’s 108 years of serving Christ and the community. The worship service at 11 a.m. will be followed by a potluck lunch. Music will be provided by local artists David Austin and Austin Myers.

 

Pleasant Hill food distribution September 14

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have food box distribution on Saturday, September 14, from 9-10:30 a.m. Food boxes will be available at the church, 4930 Country Club Road, or the Eagle Rock Library. Boxes are free and will be given out till gone.

 

Buchanan Food Pantry open Saturday

The Buchanan Presbyterian Church Food Pantry will be open September 14 from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m., open to anyone who is in need of food.  The Buchanan Lions Club will be handing out meat, bread, milk and staples at the curb. The church is at 19559 Main Street, Buchanan.

 

Springwood Baptist Homecoming September 15

Springwood Baptist Church invites you to the 192nd Anniversary Homecoming service on Sunday, September 15.

Homecoming worship service will be from 10:30 a.m. until noon, led by Pastor Mike Anderson, with special music by the Springwood Baptist Choir. There will be a potluck lunch, so bring a dish or two to share. There will be no Sunday School that morning.

 

Family Fellowship at Troutville Brethren

Troutville Church of the Brethren will have its Family Fellowship on September 15 at 5 p.m. Activities will include food, fellowship and a movie. All are invited. The church is located at 5133 Lee Highway in Troutville. For more information, call 540-992-1571.

 

Bonsack UMC celebrating 150th Anniversary

In September, Bonsack United Methodist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary. All are welcome to the special services, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

  • September 15: Guest preacher, the Rev. Tim Tate, brunch provided
  • September 22: Guest preacher, the Rev. Doug Forrester, Valley Ridge District Superintendent; special music;
lunch provided by Pastor Rob
  • September 29:Tthe Rev. Rob Lough will preach at the final 150th Anniversary celebration service, appetizers served after worship
