Historic Fincastle, Inc. created this poster as a fundraiser for the 1990 Fincastle Festival. The original oil painting, “View of Fincastle from Cronise Fields” by Harold Edward Little (1940-2011), was used with his permission. The steeples of the Botetourt Courthouse, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and Fincastle Presbyterian Church can be seen in the distance. It is on view at the Botetourt Museum of History and Culture. Peggy Davis also recently donated her framed and signed copy to the museum. On it Harold wrote “To good friends Peggy and Paxton Davis – a small view of our universe in summer.” Historic Fincastle and the Botetourt Museum will have copies of this poster available for $5 during the Fincastle Festival on September 28.
