Botetourt County Libraries and the Buchanan Town Improvement Society warmly invite the public to a festive event to kick off the holiday season.
Join the county in celebrating the Town of Buchanan’s historic Ginger Gungas cookbook at the Wilson Warehouse on Saturday, November 16, at 10:30 a.m. Feel free to bring a favorite fall treat to share (optional) and enjoy a taste of a ginger gungas cookie. Wondering what a ginger gungas is? It’s a unique gingerbread cookie made from an original historic recipe. During the event, our historians will share some of the fascinating history behind these unforgettable treats.
The county welcomes Bonnie Williams, the talented artist behind the line drawings in the original cookbook. Attendees will have the opportunity to chat with Williams and get a cookbook signed (bringing cookbooks is encouraged).
