AARP Virginia is sponsoring a number of “Caregiving Listening” events across the Commonwealth in the next few weeks and months. The one here in Southwest Virginia is scheduled for Thursday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the South Roanoke County Library.
Caregiving is one of the most critical issues that many across the nation face as they prepare to care for, or find themselves in the throes of caring for aging parents, or spouses or other family members suffering from illness or dementia.
AARP Virginia is planning this series of listening events to hear from caregivers about the challenges they endure.
AARP invites you to share your caregiving story so that AARP Virginia can make sure that elected officials find ways to support family caregivers in the state.
While legislators appreciate data to help them understand an issue, people’s stories have been found to have the most impact on their thinking. AARP needs your input.
RSVP by calling 1-877-926-8300 or register online at aarp.cvent.com/CaregiverListeningRoanoke425 to join in the discussion and make your voice heard.
South Roanoke County Library is located at 6303 Merriman Road in Roanoke.
