American Legion Post 240 held a ceremony to swear in its newly elected officers on Thursday night, June 1. They are (from left): Ray Gabay, Commander; Jeri St.Clair, Chaplain and outgoing Commander; Misti Hagerman, First Vice Commander; Marvin Moore, Second Vice Commander; Joel Eig, Adjutant; Alex Kamwell, Finance Officer; Bernie West, Service Officer; and Warren Bennett, Sergeant at Arms. Post 240 is that that Jeri St.Clair was the first female commander and now the first female chaplain. Likewise, members are also proud that Misti Hagerman is the first female first vice commander. Post 240 meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall at the corner of Country Club Road and Roanoke Road, Daleville.
