American Legion Post 240 finished in first place within its district for recruitment and renewal of members for fiscal year 2020. An overall rating of 110 percent was achieved.
Post 240 is constantly seeking honorably discharged veterans to become members. When Congress recently enacted the “Legion Law,” this gave all veterans the right to join the American Legion. Previously, a veteran had to have served during a recognized conflict.
Post 240 meets at the VFW Hall on Rt. 220 (Roanoke Road) on the first Thursday of each month. Social hour is from 6-7 p.m. All honorably discharged veterans are always welcome to attend these meeting.
