The Rev. Mike Anderson began serving as the permanent pastor of Springwood Baptist Church in Buchanan on July 1. He had been serving as the interim pastor at Springwood since August of 2021.
He had served one other church in the Roanoke area prior to coming to serve at Springwood Baptist.
He and wife Sandy have been married for 37 years and they have called Roanoke home for a majority of those years. They have three grown children and five grandchildren ranging in age from 3 years to 17 years old. In their spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking and kayaking. They also enjoy spending time with the family, as well as antiquing and hitting the yard sales.
