Ann Rebecca Johnson Gill, 76, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022.
Ann was a 1964 graduate of James River High School. She retired from the deli at Kroger in Daleville, and loved her three sons and their families, going to concerts, the beach trips, and sea cruises.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Matthew Gill, Sr.; parents, Oris M. and Pearl Lee Johnson; grandson, Maxwell McKinley Gill; and brother, David Nelson Johnson.
Surviving family include her sons, Leonard, Jr. and Sandra Gill, Quintin Gill and fiancée, Paula Kimble, and John and Melissa Gill; sisters, Violet Tripp and Carolyn Craft; brothers; Kenny, Jr. and Jean Johnson, Richard and Kathy Johnson, Gary Johnson, Bob Johnson; grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Kaylie, and Brittany Gill, and Zachary Bryant; five great-grandchildren; and her cousin and best friend, Barbara Childs.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 27, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Interment was in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
